Full description
A gorgeous star, displayed in a rusty bed spring, enabling it to be free standing.
Makes a lovely display piece as part of your primitive styling or Fouth of July decor.
The star has been made from a red, white and blue ‘cutter’ vintage patchwork quilt, and is therefore ‘perfect, but not perfect’ - it has the characteristic signs of wear commensurate of its age, but only adds to the charm of the finished piece. Please do not purchase if you like your vintage fabrics to be perfect.
The backing is made from a vintage wool blanket, and attached to the front by hand running stitch.
The piece is completed with a handmade label stamped with ‘Sweet Land of Liberty’, tied on with jute string. The star is decorated with a small rusty jungle bell attached with a rusty safety pin. The bell is a token to the Liberty Bell, a symbol of freedom.
