Full description

Monday 30 June 2025

10am - 4pm

Deadline - 24th June

Will fit into an A4 frame when finished

Over the course of the day, you will learn how to build up a textile art landscape using different fabrics to give texture, depth and colour to your panel. You’ll have great fun experimenting with different fabrics and enjoy diving into my scrap boxes to create a landscape from your imagination, from your memory or from a photograph of a much loved location. We will stitch these into place, then add details with hand embroidery, yarns and speciality threads.

This class suits all abilities, from stitching beginners to the more experienced. No previous sewing experience is required. Sewing machines will be available for those who want to use them, but this can also be done just by hand stitching.

You'll have access to fabrics, threads, beads, buttons and trims to create your unique piece, and whilst you may not complete it in this class, you'll leave with all the skills you need to finish your masterpiece off at home.

Included in cost - tuition, all materials, use of tools and equipment and refreshments. Please bring a packed lunch and anything you need for your dietary requirements (non dairy milks, gluten free items).

Please feel free to bring an inspiration image - this can be a photograph you’ve taken yourself, a page torn from a magazine or a landscape dreamed up in your own imagination.
