Inspiration was coordinating silver and greys with an experimental 'medicine wheel' 2 tone design screen print on cotton, used as front panel.
Choosing the pale greys to coordinate was a happy moment. The silver stretch fabric used in another dress at the time, was used again for a bust stretch, attached to a light grey voile dress which was cut to use the top section only.
A skirt was cut to use as lower dress front and back, in white cotton/linen with large flower print in light grey, coordinating perfectly with the dress top and adding a lighter variable toning contrast.
The shine of the silver and blue grey colours inspired the name Opaline, and 'frolic' because it is a fun and feminine mix of fabrics.

Full description
Charming ice grey dress in variable fine fabrics and linen. Pretty brown-dotted voile shirt-collared top, with short sleeves. Stretch bust in antique silver toned reptilian print. Silver also at sleeve border.
Dress is further adjustable with sash tie encased under bust line, which has opening at one front-side to adjust and tie. This enables a looser fit over a fuller figure, or a snug fit over a slim figure.
Linen lower dress and back: white cotton/linen with pale grey floral print. Pocket in centre left-front seam.
Original hand printed design on cotton front panel; abstracted medicine wheel over grey textured cotton. Print colours light blue-grey and antique gold; with embroidered words 'Physical, Emotional, Mental, Spiritual'.
Bust stretch 34-38 inches. Shoulder to under-bust sash 13 inch plus 1.5 inch sash casing. Dress length shoulder to hem 35 inches.
