Bundle dyed Ahimsa silk was the inspiration, which forms the upper front part and sleeves. To use the whole pieces dyed, I decided on the bat sleeve format. I followed the pink/gold tones to match with the lining starting point (a large blouse). I made a feature of the bundle dyed areas to highlight the green and pink tones by embroidering over with Triskel symbol outlines and abstract roses. More bundle dyed Habotai silk with many-toned lilac and gold layers used on bottom fronts. Lilac patches are blackberry dyed and may fade to pink over time.

Full description
Exotic and comfortable bat wing kimono styled dress. Plus-size XL loose fit with elastic back waist and encased tie sash from sides to front to adjust for smaller sizes.
Large panels of plant dyed silk, with bundle dyed prints in Ahimsa soft silk top arms and bodice. Top front extends to sleeves (kimono style) multi dyed with top embroidery of abstract roses within Celtic Triskel symbols. Lower section has bundle dyed Habotai silk in multi tones lilac/pink/gold.
Back has large areas of crimson large flower motif lace with lower section in magenta crushed velvet.
Lining is mixture of two fabrics. Main body is black polyester with pink floral print. Batwing sleeves lining in black cotton jersey with deep pink print, making it very warm. Sleeve hem is inside jersey lining turned up.
