I love collecting semi precious stones and wished to introduce semi precious beads into my jewellery making. I decided to make a collection of modern gemstone jewellery by combining them with polymer clay elements.

A contemporary pair of Amethyst drop earrings.
These semi precious earrings feature a 6mm Amethyst bead teamed with a handmade, grey polymer clay hoop. The grey clay has a speckled granite appearance.
The hoop and amethyst bead are hung on silver plated earring wire.
Amethyst is the February birthstone and is believed to have calming properties to help with mental focus, intuition and meditation. These earrings would make a perfect gift for those that love gemstones and semi-precious jewellery.
