This dress evolved, after starting life as a sleeveless top with added silk painting: a copy of a blue version which sold at my Chudleigh Wheelcraft Centre Studio where I first started silk painting; way back in 1994. When I came across the ocre lace in 2016, I knew it had to be added to the top, to change into a dress. At the same time, length was added 10 inches by gathered frill in abstract colour coordinated print. Recently I found the fabric with exactly the right pink colours to add a sash, as dress shape was loose A-line, with semi fitted bust and back waist darts. Blonde model in pictures was before sash was added. A new model with sash coming soon...

Unique fun dress in yellow ocre cotton with applique silk painted art front panel inspired by historical Persian art; a 'Piri' or 'fairy lady' in a garden. Round lace faux collar on wide scooped neck, and stiff lace cap sleeves. Lace layer repeats, over lower frills in ocre/pink/green abstract Deco cotton print which echoes colours of silk painting. Cotton sash tie belt in multi toned abstract crimson/pink. 40 inches length from either side of silk painting, to tie at back. 4 inches at front, tapering thinner sash ends. Bust size 38 inches/650ml. Photo on model in front of Cathedral is before sash added. Hip max 42 inches/ 170ml. Length shoulder to hem 36 inches /915ml.
