Standing tall, with its arms reaching up to the sun, this cactus is known as Saguaro, or Carnegiea gigantea cacti and they can grow to be huge.
I needle felted this cactus using natural wool fibres and the pot is a real terracotta plant pot. This Saguaro is in flower and is wearing a crown of peach blooms, which are tiny dried flowers that have been dyed. There are smaller flowers on the tips of its “arms”.
