I love making these Easter hens! Being able to use traditional techniques to produce fun, quirky designs is a real plus. I have made many over the years for friends and family who love to add chocolate eggs and little chicks when Easter arrives. Of course there is no reason to keep them just for spring, my sister has hers on display all year round!

Heidi Hen is feeling happy. Sitting snugly on her nest she knows that spring is just around the corner and she can’t wait for her chocolate eggs to arrive.
This super colourful and vibrant decoration is a fun addition to your Easter display or simply something cute to sit on the counter all year round.
Handmade using traditional rug making techniques the nest is made from wool fabric cuttings ‘progged’ through a hessian base. It is handwhipped on the edges to give a secure, neat and robust finish.
Heidi Hen is made from recycled preloved wool and is stuffed with fibre fill that conforms to standard.
