I will post most orders using first class or tracked 48 in hardbacked envelopes or flat boxes to ensure your cards/ prints get to you safely. The frames will be posted using 2nd class postage or an other courier like Evri.
I started making these cards in the 1990ies mainly to give to friends and family. I was first inspired to make baby cards with little knitted pieces by a line from Psalm 139 in the Bible: "You knitted me together in my mother's womb..." I have perfected them over the years and there are now many designs including little gift tags.
You have 14 days, from receipt, to notify the seller if you wish to cancel your order or exchange an item.
Unless faulty, the following types of items are non-refundable: items that are personalised, bespoke or made-to-order to your specific requirements; items which deteriorate quickly (e.g. food), personal items sold with a hygiene seal (cosmetics, underwear) in instances where the seal is broken; digital items.
Please note that if your order is being posted outside mainland UK, you (or the recipient) may have to pay customs or VAT charges and a handling fee. The seller is not responsible for any charges or fees that may incur.
Full description
The perfect card with Welsh greeting to welcome a new baby to the World. "Babi Newyddd" means New Baby in Welsh and "Croeso y'r Byd" means Welcome to the World. As I live in Wales and understand the importance of the Welsh language, I am very keen to make more cards with Welsh greetings. I started making them for my Welsh speaking friends.
The little knitted jumper is hand knitted by myself in light grey baby merino wool and transferred onto my handmade little knitting needles. I have used a brown kraft card lined with a pale patterned paper. The text is printed onto bockingford inkjet watercolour paper and mounted onto the card. The card is finished with ribbon and a small wooden heart button. There might be small variations in the colours and positioning as each card is unique and handmade.
Size of card 5"x5" (approx 12.5cm x12.5cm)
The card is supplied with a square light grey envelope and is blank inside. It is also available in other colours and with greeting in English. You can also find matching gift tags with tiny knitted jumpers in separate listings.
