Tiger's Eye is a type of quartz with a silky lustre and and flashes of chatoyancy.
Roman soldiers wore Tiger's Eye stones in battle, believing they gave alertness, clarity of mind and protection from harm.
It is still believed to enhance courage, confidence and self-esteem.
Mother of Pearl is the name given to the lining or nacre of mollusc shells, a unique combination of minerals secreted by molluscs that have a width similar to light waves, which gives the nacre an iridescent, shimmering sheen.
Mashan Jade, or Mountain Jade, is not Jade at all, but the trade name for Dolomite Marble.
It has a nice waxy sheen, and takes dye very well, so can be found in many colours.
These have been dyed to a very pale, delicate shade of peach which is complemented beautifully by the Tiger Eye, Austrian crystals, Mother of Pearl and copper.

Full description
Each sparkly earring features a 6mm Red Tiger Eye, topped with a 2mm pure copper spacer, 4mm pale peach Mashan Jade bead, a trio of 'light peach' quality Austrian crystal bicones, and a 4mm white mother-of-pearl bead.
Red Tiger Eye has the same chatoyancy as yellow Tiger Eye, but is a rich, dark, red-brown colour.
The crystals are a delicate, pale peach colour with a lovely sparkle.
The Mashan Jade has a soft, waxy sheen and the mother-of-pearl has iridescent glints when it it catches the light.
The beads are threaded onto copper pins and hang from copper ear-wires.
Handmade in my home workshop here in beautiful Devon, UK, these would make a lovely gift for a birthday, anniversary, bridesmaid, Valentine or Mother's Day or keep them as a treat for yourself.
These drop earrings measure approximately 1.25 inches (3cm), excluding the ear-wires.
Your earrings will be wrapped in tissue and presented in a small organza gift bag.
