About this item
A pair of classy earrings made from gold coloured and black delica beads. The stud ear-posts are rolled gold (also known as gold filled). Gold filled items have significantly more gold coating on them than gold plated and the coating is, consequently, much more durable. Each side of the triangle is 2.9 cms (1.1 ins) long. They are very light in weight – weighing around 2gms each. To make these earrings I have used size 11 gold coloured and shiny black Miyuki Delica beads. They are made by a process called beadweaving, by which the beads are sewn together by strong Fireline beading thread (not unlike fishing line). These earrings are strongly made but as the beads are glass they will break if crushed, so should be kept away from small children and situations where this might happen. I will post your earrings to you mounted on a card and wrapped in acid free tissue paper in a sturdy cardboard postage box. These earrings are made from a pattern by Shinka Beads who give permission for makers to sell pieces made from her designs.
