I use the Post Office for parcels whenever possible and they usually deliver within 2-4 days, if your purchase is urgent phone me and for a little more I can send next day.
I strive to recycle, the majority of my wood stock has been accumulated over many years, and in some cases donated, and this , I believe, helps to keep prices reasonable. To reduce my carbon footprint I make my own packages using salvaged cardboard - quite interesting as well!. The packaging tape and minimal bubble wrap sadly cannot usually be reused.
I have been turning items for spinners for some time. I was asked to make lace bobbins as well and I have found it interesting and absorbing to research the styles and skills required to make these very precise bobbins, I’m in admiration of those who use them to produce lace.

Full description
Sets of hardwood lace bobbins made by hand in Hampshire, ( not by machine!) and hence each are individuals and hand finished. All are approx 4” long and drilled for spangles
1/ One set in Midland style in beech
2/ One set in Midland style has been finished with a red stain
3/one set of slender mixed hardwood
4/one set Midland with green woodstain and finish
I use a variety of timbers, all from salvaged sources and hence I cannot identify all woods as some species are very similar.
PLEASE IDENTIFY WHICH SET OR SETS YOU WANT WHEN YOU ORDER.
