Full description
This mug makes an ideal gift for any lover of handmade pottery, tea, coffee, hot chocolate or nature! Perfect for birthdays or Mothers Day. Pottery is also the traditional 9th wedding anniversary gift.
Thrown on my wheel, this pretty stoneware mug incorporates an abstract flower motif over a pretty charcoal grey colour - very versatile colour, goes with everything.
Taking inspiration from nature & my love of patterns, I cut the flower stem design out of paper & applied that to mug body before the clay had dried. I then painted the mug with slip (liquid clay) to add the colour, then carefully peeled the paper away to reveal the stencil design before adding the handle & leaving to dry. I then fired, covered in a glossy clear glaze & fired it again. A time consuming but very enjoyable process - I hope the joy I have in making comes across in each finished piece.

- Measurements (approx): height - 8.5cm, diameter at rim - 10cm. Measurements vary slightly as all handmade individually.
- Can be washed in the dishwasher
Postage: My standard postage is via UK Royal Mail 48 Tracked. I will despatch 1-2 working days on receipt of your order. If you need another delivery option, please contact me first :-)
Packaging: All items come well packaged in sturdy cardboard boxes. I only buy paper based & recyclable packaging. So if your parcel contains any plastic (eg bubble wrap/foam) it is being re-used.
