The inspiration for this shave brush has been due to my passion for woodturning and this is my first one available outside our house. The brush complements our shaving stands that we make, we try to pair them up in style or look. Each shaving brush is an individual piece as everything is hand turned on Barbara’s woodturning lathe. These shaving brushes are all different and reflect the individual tastes and needs for something different in life when we all seek something out of the norm. We use vegan friendly finishes on these brushes.

Full description
This shaving brush is turned from a piece of Beech wood stained with blue spirit stain. A curved shape designed to make a comfortable fit to the hand. The finish is achieved by sanding down with grades of sandpaper to a fine grit then using Cellulose Sanding Sealer followed with three coats of Melamine Lacquer and finished with 3 coats of microcrystalline wax. The knot is a s synthetic silver smoke knot, grey coloured base with silver tip, as shown below with its packaging tube.
Every shaving brush is documented and individually numbered, we send you this document of authenticity, when you purchase each one. This one is SB06, which is pyrographed on the handle, as each piece we make is an original hand crafted item.
Size of Holder 69mm high x 32mm diameter approximately.
Size of Knot 63mm long x 22mm diameter approximately. Overall length of brush 124mm.
This shaving brush is made from organic, natural, solid wood and will distort if put near a heat source such as a radiator, it will also discolour if left in direct sunlight. The item you see here is the one you will receive and I have aimed to provide dimensions which are as accurate as possible. Please note that wood is a natural product and can be affected by its environment.
