My Inspiration came from my love of wood and carving its profile with my trusty spoke shave and my late fathers American Stanley sweetheart chisel from the 1940’s. This fish gave me the connection to my forefathers in spirit, and in the feel of shaping these fish and the desire to carve wood to reduce stress and anxiety. These fish are small enough to handle and reduce stress levels rather like a stress ball.

Full description
This hand carved and detailed English Ash wood clown fish sculpture is suitable for stress relief and desktop/mantel piece. The wood is sourced from near our workshop in Torbay and inspired by our living by the sea and sailing on the River Teign. They are cut to shape and then hand shaped using chisel and gouges and carving on some areas to create there features. Each fish has scales and fins pyrographed to give definition and stained with orange sprit based wood stain to produce our unique clown fish. They have been sanded and finished with a microcrystalline wax and finished with a liquid wax. Every fish is documented and individually numbered, we send you this document of authenticity, with each purchase. This one is Fi-07, pyrographed on the base.
Measurements: Length 10.2m X 6.7cm height X 2.8cm depth.
This fish is made from organic, natural, solid wood and will distort if put in water or to near a heat source, they will discolour if left in direct sunlight. This fish is not suitable for young children.
To care for the fish, feed the wood with wax or similar when required. The item you see here is the one you will receive and I have aimed to provide dimensions which are as accurate as possible. Please note that wood is a natural product and can be affected by its environment.
