Full description
A paper diorama featuring a mini Emily Dickinson art doll in her garden - she is moulded from tin foil, florist wire, and layers of gluey paper; her dress is the colour of old violet, decoupaged with napkin birds.
The box is handmade from recycled cardboard and paper, and incorporates a string frame, highlighted with gold gilding paste, featuring a hand painted robin, and the word ‘Hope’ typed onto Lokta paper using my grandma’s antique Royal typewriter.
Emily’s poem, ‘The Robin’ is featured inside.
All elements of this piece are hand-finished with chalk paint and wax.

My assemblage paper art pieces are hand made with patience and love - they often take weeks to complete, and are made for decoration only (they may have sharp edges and small components, so should be kept out of the reach of children).
