Workshops are held in my studio in Low Valleyfield, Fife. All workshops must be paid for in full in order to secure your place. I am unable to hold any places without full payment. Your booking is not transferrable to an alternative date unless I am the person to cancel it. Cancellations will only happen due to events outwith my control.
Please note that if your order is being posted outside mainland UK, you (or the recipient) may have to pay customs or VAT charges and a handling fee. The seller is not responsible for any charges or fees that may incur.

Fancy learning how to make your own simple lined curtains for your home?
All materials included in your cost.
Learn how to calculate fabric quantities (patterned and plain) and understand heading styles and fullness ratios, then make a small sample sized machine sewn curtain to take home.
Suitable for those with some sewing experience (you must be able to use a sewing machine unaided), this short course will show you how to make your own simple curtains.
All materials and equipment are provided within your class cost, although if you prefer to use your own sewing machine, you are more than welcome to bring it.
During the class I will cover:
- appropriate fabric for curtains
- different heading tapes
- measuring your window
- calculating fabric requirement for plain and patterned fabrics
- sewing up your curtain panels and adding the lining
- Selecting and sewing on your chosen heading tape
- professional tips and tricks
Participants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a participating adult. Each workshop has a maximum of 4 people, and you can book as an individual or a group.
You will leave the class with your own curtain sample and a handout that you can refer to as you make your own machine sewn curtains at home.
