I am always watching sunsets - often as not while I wait to see if there's going to be a clear and starry sky later so I can get the telescope out. But you know, the sunsets are always worth watching in themselves - no two are ever alike.

Full description

Reflecting the hues of a twilight sky at sunset, this light-weight scarf is hand-woven, using a weft of hand-spun yarn (comprised of 75% merino wool, 13% tussah silk and 12% recycled sari silk). The scarf is a deep grey-blue, with flecks of bright orange (and just the tiniest bit of yellow) like the clouds catching the very last of the sun as it sets. The warp is a matching grey-blue tencel (a cellulose fibre that feels similar to silk, but is more sustainable), with a solitary amethyst purple line to bring out the purples inherent in the blue. The scarf is 150cm long (excluding the tassels) and 20cm wide, an ideal size for wearing around the neck. Hand-wash carefully at low temperature and lie flat to air dry; the scarf can be ironed at low heat.
