This larger-than-usual hanging heart is all about warmth in winter. Soft, rich tones with neutral and pale background materials.
I’ve used my own preserved and dried foliage, grasses and flowers with pheasant feathers and some tiny faux berry pips for a little touch of red.
Ideally an indoor item, it will stay beautiful for many months, just hang it away from damp, heat sources and for best lasting colour - out of bright sunlight.
It’s perfect for an interior wall or door, the widest part is around 40cm and from tip to toe it measures around 50cm.
The heart is hung from its chunky jute cord loop at the back.
The heart can of course be hung on an exterior door, gate or barn to welcome guests, but the damp air will reduce the quality and life of the dried flowers in time, so consider it a temporary seasonal door decoration when hung outside.

Full description
The heart frames I make are crafted from local hedgerow hazel, gathered and formed in winter for year-round use.
Summer grasses and preserved foliage are added to seed-heads and dried flowers -mostly grown on my own patch in Shropshire- to complete these natural, hanging heart decorations, for indoor use.
