Full description
Dragons, knights and castles - hoop pictures embellished with little buttons, created from my fabric off-cuts as part of my sustainability approach to crafting. An eco-friendly gift that will delight any little dragon lover.
The dragon village fabric is the designer print quilting cotton I use in my playmats. Each picture will vary depending on the offcut, but will feature a dragon, or dragon and a knight or two, embellished with vintage and retro buttons from The Old Button tin.
Available singly, or as a set of two from the same Dragon Village fabric or including a princess from the Dragon Castle fabric (see other listings).
The fabric is interlined with offcuts of wadding from my patchwork quilts, and backed with the same soft wool felt I use in my toys.
I use Elbese embroidery hoops to frame the pictures - these are made from beech wood and wax polished for a smooth finish - and I neaten the back with a circle of felt hand sewn using a traditional blanket stitch. The felt colours vary but will co-ordinate with the main fabric.
Size - 4 inch diameter, plus ribbon hanging loop.
Care - dust with a dry cloth or brush
