Full description
A retro themed Christmas fabric hoop picture up-cycled from reclaimed fabric, featuring a couple kissing by a decorated Christmas tree. Embellished with a little hand embroidery and a ribbon for hanging. Perfect gift for newly weds, or a teenager.
After carefully cutting a circle to feature the romantic couple and the bauble festooned tree, I add a layer of soft wadding before hand embroidering the holly berries. I then securely fit the fabric into a Elbese wooden embroidery hoop and hand gather the edges at the back and finish with a circle of pure wool felt neatly blanket stitched all the way round the ring.
Placement of the characters, and the colour of the felt backing will vary.
Part of my zero waste approach to crafting, I keep all my off-cuts left over from making my Christmas stockings and turn them into little gifts like this.
Size - 4 inch diameter, plus hanging loop.
Care - dust with a dry cloth or brush
