I love finding vintage fabrics that ‘speak tree’ especially if they have a wonderful story or usage in life. I bought a collection of classic tweeds from the Festival of Quilts In Birmingham in 2024. These vintage silks just ‘sing tree’!

Full description
A pure silk tree top made from vintage sari silk. These colours and detail just sing and add a beautiful rich glow to your little shelf of cotton reel trees. I love these fabrics and how the simple shapes compliment each other to create an interesting collection. The straight stitching is original to the fabric and I have added free motion embroidery leaves.
Start with one or two and build your small forest over time…..
Standing on a tall vintage wooden cotton reel, coordinating beautifully.
It’s about 17cms Listing is for the main tree only, others are there to show size and groupings. They conjure up memories of vintage sewing boxes and childhood family time.
