Full description
These Marlinspikes are hand made in my workshop in the West Pennine Moors of Lancashire from locally sourced, solid hardwoods such as Cherry, Beech, Maple, Oak, Ash & Walnut.
Designed to make knot tying (& untying) crafts easier such as leatherwork or rope work.
The Marlinspike is 15cm (6") long plus the ball end to attach a lanyard or cord. The Marlinspike has a diameter of approx 19mm (34") before the last 5cm (2") is tapered to a fine point. Midway down the shaft are three smooth grooves to help you grip the tool, but sanded smooth so it doesn't catch. If you need a special length, please send me a message.
The 3 woods on the first photo are from left - Cherry, Beech and Maple. On the second photo, Oak is at the top and Ash underneath.
Made to order, usually in just a few days, these Marlinspikes are sanded to a fine finish before receiving a coat of lacquer.
Postage is Royal Mail First Class within the UK and Royal Mail International Tracked to North America, Australia & New Zealand.
