I made this as a result of all the Covid lockdowns. In memory if all the empty theatres and venues and lack of social contact during the long periods of isolation.

Full description
This hand embroidered abstract collage depicts a single dancer caught in the beams of a super trouper. It is mounted on a 30x 30cm canvas.
I have used a mix of hand dyed, vintage and repurposed fabrics to capture the feel of an empty and crumbling theatre. The traditional hand embroidery stitched are used freely and expressly to give movement and emotion.
