Hi, welcome to Stitched Works, where everything is designed and hand made made by myself.
(Except for the buttons)
I strive to create high quality pieces
using repurposed and vintage fabrics.
My inspiration usually comes from a place, where I’ve felt an emotional connection. I think of my art as capturing a sense of time and place, a small moment in time.
The cords and fastenings used for the pendants and brooches are new.
I will usually post items 2nd class, with Royal Mail, within 24 hours of receiving an order. I recycle packaging when possible.
Please message me via the contact form if you would like any further information. Or would like alternative shipping arrangements.
Thank you so much for visiting.

Hi, I'm Linda, originally from Suffolk, now living in Manchester. I've been stitching in one form or another since early childhood.
My love of stitching led me to undertake the City and Guilds creative embroidery course which gave me the skills and knowledge to create what I make today. I use hand and free machine embroidery but it is hand stitching that I love the most, it is such a mindful process.
Inspiration usually comes from nature or what I see around me, I love walking and am always taking photos, which are often the starting point for a new piece, especially if there is an emotional connection to the place.
Spending several years living in rural France I was able to appreciate a slower pace of life and enjoy a diverse range of landscapes and moods created by the changing weather and skies.
My work has sold in France and to clients as far afield as Scotland and Australia.
I like to use preloved fabrics helping to save them from landfill a bit longer and enjoy hunting for fabrics and threads in charity shops .
I run mindful stitching workshops and love encouraging new people to this wonderful craft.
My art and craft work has been the mainstay for my mental health along with walking and music.
Taking time to breathe and live in the moment.

I received this lovely piece of work to hang up in my house. The colours are so bright and I absolutely love it. The phrase is so very true and it definitely adds to my happiness every day. What a fabulous addition to my home

I love it. It's gorgeous brooch, it has so much beautiful detail. It was heavier than I expected, so it'll get put on heavier jumpers and coats.
