Over many years of painting and craft work I have gathered offcuts of paper and card. While clearing out my craft drawers I thought a more creative way to use the card and paper was to upcycle it into mini sketchbooks and journals. Brightly coloured paper covers 1.5-2mm grey board to become covers filled with concertina style books with 100% cotton 300gsm (140lb) NOT (cold pressed) professional watercolour paper by Saunders. Those leftovers have become beautiful and useful little travel journals to fill with art or words or collages to keep as memories for many years to come.

Full description
This item is a mini, travel watercolour sketchbook for artists that has been handmade by me. It can also be used as a mini journal. It has a deep orange and purple patterned cover with purple foiling and a purple elastic closure. Just over 7.5cm square (3" square) in size and 1.25 cm (0.5") deep, it has 100% cotton rag watercolour paper that has been folded concertina style, with 16 sides to paint on (not including the two end papers).
The 2mm grey board covers have been covered in brightly coloured craft papers that are acid and lignin free. It contains 100% cotton 300gsm (140lb) NOT (cold pressed) professional watercolour paper by Saunders that has been folded concertina style. The concertina style form makes it a great travelling companion as the pages will not fall out during painting.
The watercolour paper itself is gelatine sized and textured by the use of woollen felts during the manufacturing process. It is also acid free and archival. Each book is closed with a brightly coloured elastic in a corresponding colour.
