I got my inspiration from a trip to Scotland. I love the rural Scottish architecture, particularly the little cottages used by generations of crofters, and the bothys used for shelter from the harsh highland weather.

Full description
This wooden croft house / bothy hanging decoration was hand-crafted in Dorset using natural materials. It features a white little cottage with a grey slate roof, windows, chimneys and a red front door.
Sawn by hand from a block of wood (beech or red rose gum). Drilled using a manual hand drill, and hand-painted using toy-safe non-toxic paints. Lovingly finished with a piece of braid, made of sustainable British sheep's wool. The ends of the braid are dipped in natural beeswax to prevent fraying, and the wood is given a coat of non-toxic low-odour varnish for a hard-wearing waterproof finish.
A unique Christmas tree decoration or gift.
MEASUREMENTS:
Approximately 4.1cm x 3.7cm x 1cm (W x L x H). Measurements can vary slightly as it is a hand-sawn item.
The item can look slightly different to the pictures as it is hand painted. I make the item to order so it can take 1-7 days to dispatch.

-Non-toxic, low-VOC, toy-safe paint and varnish (both made in the UK)
