New Fairy, Witch and Animal Dolls. Just to say, each animal doll has a tail. The little girls' have tails under their dresses peeping out of their drawers and out of the little boys plus fours!
Please enjoy browsing and should you buy a doll she will be packaged in an organza bag. I have been given literally hundreds and will use them until they run out rather than let them go to landfill. Also I have been asked why I don't often repeat combinations of fabric with the dolls. It is because I tend to buy remnant stock where I can, tiny pieces of fabric that are too small for most people to use. So often I have only enough to make one doll. I wanted to make a fairy for a while but a more experienced fae not a teenage waif, so I decided to make a Fairy God Mother. Inspired by Flora, Fauna and Merryweather in Sleeping Beauty my God Mothers are practical hard working fairies trying to bring a little magic into the world.
This is my little Sugar Plum Fairy, she was a joy to make and I loved beading her bodice. We saw the Nutcracker Ballet at our local cinema and I just loved her character. She has a ring to her back to hang and is my Christmas Doll for 2024

Full description
This is my version of the Sugar Plum Fairy. A smaller pattern, she is about two thirds the size of my witch. This little Sugar Plum Fairy has a Liberty tana lawn print dress in plums and pinks called Lodden, this is teamed with a lilac silk under kirtle. Her bodice is heavily beaded to reference the candy she is associated with. She has silk wings that match her under kirtle and sports a little felt wand. Her shoes are the smallest I have ever made and are plum suede. She has a piece of amethyst to her heart with lavender flowers in her stuffing and is finished with tiny buttons, tiny bells, organza ribbon and a little coronet in her hair.
She has a brass ring to her back to hang
She stands just 8 inches tall with all the hair!.
She is, as are all my girls, warm and companiable with a touch of English whimsy. I hope she makes you smile. Please remember she is not a toy and not suitable for children.
