When hiking in the moorlands on holiday, I am always struck by the glowing purples of heather set off against the backland of varied greens. I've tried capture this sensation in the colours of this scarf. We are lucky to have landscapes like this to ramble across.

Full description
A lovely hand-woven scarf, ideal for warming shoulders or necks during winter and autumn. It is hand-woven using a home-spun yarn that mixes 85% merino wool and 15% silk in deep moorland colours of purple heather and greens. Subtle variations in the colour of the weft come from the hand-spinning of the wool/silk mixture, so the mottled colours change and vary along the scarf, ending with a broad band of deeper green at one end. This weft is woven in a plain weave onto a warp of Tencel yarn (a sustainable yarn similar to silk) in matching colours; with over half the warp reflecting the deep purple, and a broad border of green at one side. The scarf is 139cm in length (excluding the tassels) and 23cm wide. Hand-wash carefully at low temperature and lie flat to air dry.
