Full description
This 45 x 45 reclaimed denim quilt throw picnic blanket has been made using upcycled jeans, polar fleece and cotton binding.
The jeans have all been freshly laundered then cut into various sizes of squares to recycle as much fabric as possible. These square have been randomly pieced together to create the unique and eye catching quilt in the pictures. All the pockets are still fully functioning (perfect for weighing the blanket down on a breezy day or hiding valuables).
The denim has a buttery soft feel that you can only get from well worn and loved jeans.
The polar fleece backing is super soft and cosy. Perfect for a cosy lap quilt to cuddle under or to help keep your bottom from getting damp when placed on grass and used as a picnic blanket.
The carry strap that comes with the picnic blanket is of an open design, making it easy to slot the folded blanket in and out, also to shake any sand or dirt out after use. It is reversible with a patchwork design on both sides, and a pocket on one side. The carabiners can be removed to lay the carry strap out flat, or for washing. It comes with an adjustable strap so you can wear it over your shoulder or across your body.
This blanket is a unique handmade item that although may not be perfect it was made with love and will last for years.
In fact the first one I made for our family 4 years ago is well loved and used as a blanket to cuddle under, a comfort blanket for poorly children, a novelty rug to lay on the floor and play on
