When I mix colours into clay, I think blue would be a good idea as blue is a strong pigment. I made this blue and white Agateware bowl as I love the marblised pattern revealed once the top layer is pared off. I thought green goes well with blue so I hand painted the motifs for extra colour.

Thrown with blue and white mixed clays. This is an "Agateware" bowl, featuring a marblised swirly pattern and decorated by hand with green band around the rim and motifs around the pot. It has a turned foot ring.Suits hot or cold foods for serving cereal, soup, rice or as a decorative fruit bowl. Could be adapted to general kitchen use. Stands 6.8 cms x 16 cms diameter. Capacity 500 mls
