I was inspired by "scraffito" pottery I had seen. This method involves carving through to the clay to reveal a pattern. The lustre idea was to compliment the dark coffee brown outer colored glaze.

Full description
A medium sized hand decorated serving Pottery bowl, suitable for hot or cold foods. Made with stoneware clay by the traditional throwing method, and designed by Penarth Ceramics. Decorated with " scraffitoe'd" textured swirls around the pot and an interesting dark green, metallic copper glaze reflective lustre inside the bowl. There is a turned foot ring on the bottom. A medium size, so could be used as a decorative bowl or for serving fruit, cereal, soup, pasta, etc. Not microwave safe, due to the metallic lustre. Stands 6.5 cms x 16 cms diameter with a capacity of 450mls
