HANDSPUN KNITTED NECKWARMER, SCARF, COWL OR DICKIE
I handspun pure merino wool in four colours into medium weight yarns for this neckwarmer, cowl or dickie. The main colour is a mid green, with contrasting peach, fawn and rust. I then knitted this neck warmer, scarf or cowl in textured brick stitch. I added three handmade Dorset buttons in the peach yarn, woven around hollow brass rings. Dorset button making is an old traditional craft which is enjoying a revival using modern materials.
This neck warmer can be worn under or over a jacket or coat, or simply with a top. This is a neat and tidy way to keep warm without the fussy ends of a scarf.
The neck warmer measures 6" (15.2cm) in width.
