HANDSPUN KNITTED SHAWL OR WRAP
Measurements - It measures 60" (152cm) wide including the tassels and 14" (36cm) high from the centre top to the centre bottom.
I handspun some magenta pink merino fibre and some Polwarth, Alpaca, Silk, & Stellina in shades of purple then knitted this small, triangular shawl or shawlette. The purple yarn which has sparkle from the Stellina, is knitted in stocking stitch and the magenta yarn forms garter stitch bands. I added a saw-tooth border and two tassles in the magenta yarn.
This shawl is so cosy to wear, either in the traditional way with the point at the back tied at the front or secured with a shawl pin, or the 'on trend' way, with the point at the front. I think this would look stunning with a dress on a special occasion, or it would also look great with jeans and a jumper or jacket. A great accessory to throw on for cooler summer evenings or wintry days.
