We wanted to make a hanging piece for Christmas, however we were torn between various designs of wooden stars and wooden snowflakes. Therefore, we ended up creating a hybrid - a starflake, if you like! Instead of using factory wood paints and stains, we decided to create our own stains from coffee. We think it works well, hope you do too!

These beautiful handmade wall art features are ready to adorn your house. They are made from recycled wood which is cut, shaped and sanded to create an aesthetically-pleasing snowflake pattern. The individual wood pieces have been stained with coffee to exhibit different shades of brown that greatly enhance the natural beauty of both the wood and the overall design. They are then finished with either teak oil or varnish depending on what look you are going for. These wall art features can be hung (sisal twine rope attached) on a wall inside or outside. They are very adaptable pieces which could make an ideal Christmas decoration present.
