In the winter of 2023/24 many large trees were blown down in storms. The wood for this item came from a large ash tree, over 100 years old, which was damaged in a storm.

Full description
This little box is turned on a lathe from a single piece of ash wood and the grain pattern in the box and lid are matched. It is ideal for keeping rings, other jewellery, coins and small trinkets etc. The exterior of the box has been sanded and has been brought to a glossy finish with pure beeswax. The box measures 52mm high and is 67mm in external diameter. Weight is 89g.
