Introducing my latest abstract felt art inspired by my visit to Beatrix Potters home at Near Sawrey, Cumbria.
Layers of colourful needle felting and slow stitching depict a wonderful scenic
sunset background with a road leading from the foreground into the folds of the Cumbrian valley. A dry stone wall to the right of the picture leads the viewer’s eye towards the embroidered, whitewashed stone cottage surrounded by fields, trees and more dry stone walls.
I have used wet and dry felting techniques to create this felt art.
There are many benefits to mental health by looking at this colourful, natural landscape. The warm palette of colours evokes good feelings.
The detailed felt is mounted in a glazed, white wooden frame 22cm x 22 cm.
