Taking inspiration from my garden and allotment, I’ve realised how important my gardening tools are to me and how much my watering can has become an important part of my gardening life.

Full description
This beautiful watering can textile brooch was influenced by lazy hazy days of Summer as and the time spent watering the plants and tomatoes in the greenhouse.
It’s constructed using a vintage quilt on top of which various cotton fabrics have been collaged onto the surface.
The watering can is a lino print ( hand carved by me ) and printed into cotton. It has then been stitched using embroidery threads.
The safety type fastening pin has been handstitched to the back of the brooch.
The brooch will come attached to a coordinating section of a postcard of Camille Pissarro’s Gelee blanche
The brooch measures approx 65cm by 75cm.
It would be fab on a coat or jacket lapel or pinned on a favourite bag
Designed by nikki Hurrell in Hampshire
