Taking inspiration from my garden and allotment , I love seeing the heights that these gorgeous sunflowers can get to.
Memories of our holidays in France where fields and fields of sunflowers shine their faces upwards, chasing the sun, have meant they are a firm favourite in our house.

Full description
This beautiful sun flower textile brooch was influenced by lazy hazy days of Summer.
It’s constructed using a vintage quilt on top of which various cotton fabrics have been collaged onto the surface.
The sunflower is a lino print ( hand carved by me ) and has then stitched using embroidery threads.
The safety type fastening pin has been handstitched to the back of the brooch.
The brooch will come attached to a coordinating section of a postcard of Renoir’s Chemin Montant dans les hautes herbes.
The brooch measures approx 65cm by 75cm.
It would be fab on a coat or jacket lapel or pinned on a favourite bag
