Item details

I found this fabric in an antiques shop a few years ago as I knew it would make fabulous shopping bags. I had some little remnants leftover and squirrelled them away until I could think of a way to use them. A couple of weeks ago I needed a birthday present for an old school friend and trialled a similar make-up bag. She was thrilled with it and so I decided to stitch another which sold straight away. This is the last remnant and thought it would make a perfect knitting needle holder.

Full description

SECOND A simple, long, zip up pouch made from a remnant of brown floral linen fabric and lined with sage green polka dot cotton.

I found this piece of vintage P Kaufmann fabric in an antiques shop and initially used it to make some beautifully large shopping bags. This is the last leftover remnant and I couldn't work out what do with it, but then realised it would be the perfect size for knitting needles, or paintbrushes, or very long pencils!

The pouch measures approximately 45cm width and 14.5cm depth and has 'boxed' seams.

The fabric is vintage but is unused and unwashed and the bag shown in the photos is the one that you will receive.

Please note that there is a tiny flaw in the fabric at one end of the bag, hence selling it as a second - it is barely noticeable but I have tried to mark it with an arrow in the last photo. If I had noticed it before I started sewing I would have made a slightly shorter bag.

Postage is included in the price.
