Full description

Join us for these weekly drop-in sewing session, run by Bluebell Design owner, Lois Bell. We have both daytime and evening sessions available.

Location - Bluebell Design, Forthview Industrial Estate, Low Valleyfield, KY12 8TL

Beginners and experienced sewers are welcome in this sociable, supported stitching session, where you will work on your self-chosen projects. I will be on hand throughout to help you as necessary. I can assist with taking body measurements, fittings and adjustments, professional seam finishes, inserting sleeves, adding darts, buttonholes, zips, or whatever other issues you might encounter.

These open sewing sessions are for everyone aged 16 or older. I have sewing machines available for student use or you can bring your own. An overlocker will also be available for use and instruction will be given to any overlocker novices.

Cost includes use of equipment and a nice hot cuppa (and maybe a biscuit).

If you're a total novice and don't yet have a project on the go, you can begin with a simple project using a pattern designed by me. Make yourself a sturdy shopping bag whilst you learn the techniques you need to operate a sewing machine. Fabric suitable for this bag will be available to purchase at additional cost, or you can bring your own fabric.
