I needed some new laces for my boots and remembered the long, narrow strips of fabric I had left over from another project.
I’d been struggling to find a use for the scraps, mostly discarded duvet covers, curtains etc. but bootlaces seemed perfect.
So I grabbed a couple of strips, ran them through the sewing machine and finished them with some aglets made from
electricians’ heat shrink tubing from my Dad’s toolbox.
Everyone loved my new laces and I was soon inundated with requests!
