Barnacle Clay Pot, Encrusted Seaside Vase, Shipwreck Decor

Approximate size 9.5cm wide x 8cm tall.

If you are looking for a truly unique sculptural piece to accent your beach home decor, look no further! My little rustic shipwrecked pot is extremely tactile, entirely encrusted in clay seaside coral, barnacles, sand dollars and other unusual crusty beasties! I sculpted and applied each individual piece by hand, building up layers over a ceramic pot to create a beautiful weathered clay vessel. The process took 3 days! After drying, the pot was sealed and then painted with pastel acrylics in an ocean palette. I finished with a few highlights of antique gold mica powder for a suggestion of 'ancient marine treasure'.

Perfect for filling with seaside fragranced potpourri or a small bouquet of your favourite dried coastal flowers. Or you could just simply display this little seaside inspired pot as a unique sculptural art piece!

N.B. As I specifically wanted a weathered matt effect, this little pot is not waterproof and should therefore not come into contact with water! Light dusting with a soft brush only please!

Feel free to check out my other complementary seaside clay vessels.
