Exploring rock pools along the Cornish coastline is a real pleasure for me. The delight of observing micro-life and the vivid colors of seashells and anemones is truly inspiring. Although I have not yet spotted a seahorse, I remain hopeful.
I adore color, and selecting fabrics and patterns is always an exhilarating part of appliqué. Making this cushion was indeed a joy.

Full description
The cushion has a unique designed with a deep blue background and features an intricate appliqué of a seahorse at its center. The seahorse is adorned with various patterns and colors, including pink with floral motifs, green with polka dots, purple with stars, and stripes in shades of blue and pink. The different fabric materials used for each patterned section give the seahorse a textured and vibrant appearance.
The edges of the cushion are trimmed with bright turquoise pom-poms, adding a playful and contrasting touch to the overall design. The design has been Free Motion Quilted to give it a luxury, soft feel.
The cushion measures 38cm X 38 cm, has a concealed zip and comes complete with a cushion inner pad.
The colours and textures of this cushion would cheer up any room. It would make an unusual gift, especially for those 'hard to buy for'. It spans many age ranges from an ocean inspired children's room to a 'Natural World' loving adult.
