My shop is called TimberArkTextiles, the textile aspect speaks for itself. Timberark is my husband's timber haulage company. We came up with the name back in 2007 as an amalgamation of his love of wood and mine, animals.
On leaving school I worked as a veterinary nurse, then I retrained and made bespoke soft-furnishings from home while my daughters grew up.
I find working with fabric so fulfilling, the textures, patterns, weights and varieties are a never ending exploration. I wanted to combine my two passions animals and sewing and the items you see in my shop are the culmination of the two. I take inspiration from my surroundings and the animals I live with, hoping to capture their characters and the vibrancy of the natural world.
