This necklace features Tiger Ebony, or Tiger Kamagong, a dense, hard wood from the Philippines with a dark brown chocolate colour that has lighter shading in places.
I have also used good quality, natural Turquoise beads from the Hubei Province in China which produces colours reminiscent of the much-prized greens and blues of the now closed Nevada mines. They are un-dyed, stabilised, and a rich green-blue.
Turquoise is the traditional birthstone for December and Sagittarius, and the stone for the 11th anniversary.

Full description
The centrepiece of this stylish necklace features dark brown Tiger Ebony wood 5x8mm rice beads, set with a 10x14mm Hubei Province Turquoise oval and twelve 6mm Hubei Province Turquoise rondelles, all highlighted with 3mm pure copper beads.
The necklace then graduates to 5mm round Tiger Ebony beads set with 4mm Turquoiseand 3mm copper.
The necklace fastens with a simple toggle clasp of pure copper.
The natural wood sets off the blue-green colour of these genuine Turquoise beads, and both are complemented by the red-gold gleam of copper.
This necklace would make a lovely handmade gift for an anniversary, December birthday, as a special 'thank you' or as a well deserved treat for yourself.
Handcrafted (by me!) in my home workshop in Devon, UK.
This necklace measures approximately 16 inches (41cm).
Your necklace will be wrapped in tissue and presented in a pretty organza gift bag.
