The triple spiral, often called a triskele or triskelion has ancient Celtic origins and some believe it's three 'legs' symbolise the three elements of earth, water and air or the triple goddess in the form of maiden, mother and crone, but there are many interpretations of it's meaning and it remains a mysterious and sacred symbol for many neo pagans and for Celtic Christians for whom it represents the holy trinity of father, son and holy spirit.
