I wanted to explore the process of making an elegant Christmas stocking using up fabrics from my off cuts. I chose 7 different fabrics, each the size of the stocking then cut each of them into 7 pieces. One piece was taken from each fabric and sewn together to make 7 similar but not duplicate stockings. There are only 4 available at the moment as I have not finished embellishing the others….they will be listed as soon as they are finished.

These one of a kind hand made patchwork stockings will adorn any home this Christmas.
Off cuts of fabric from my stash have been sewn together, embellished with embroidery and one of my porcelain tiny buttons.
A final touch is the addition of my handmade stoneware button to the top.
The outer and inner fabric is 100% cotton with a polyester/ cotton wadding between.
