I make things…..from fibre and clay….

I learned to knit at the age for 4 from my Irish grandmother, and have never stopped crafting since.

You start with crochet, the mighty granny square, then knitting. You look for softer wool, coloured wool and end up spinning and dyeing your own.

Then a two year stretch in San Francisco introduces you into patchwork quilting and weaving. Several looms later you try a ceramic course and it takes over your whole life. You attend a course and buy your own wheel, have breakfast…throw a pot….go shopping…throw a bowl…and it goes on. Then you have to get a kiln…and solar panels….and you run out of space.

So, I have reopened my folksy shop to lighten up my shelves…..

I try to make things as environmentally as possible. We have installed solar panels for my kiln. I use up every scrap of fabric and where I can upcycle vintage fabric, embroidery and quilts.
