This lovely customer requested a mosaic that featured lavender, with lots of greens. Lavender flowers have tiny components so I had to work quite close up to or the pieces of tessera would be too small to handle. I then sketched out designs and played around with shapes until I found a representation of lavender in a stylized form. It was quite tricky at the beginning but once I found the correct formation it was really enjoyable. I hope its new owner loves it as much as I do. Thank you for the commission!

This is a commission piece, featuring Lavender stems in lilacs and greens in a cream background.
Measuring 21cm x 16cm
I have used Winckelmans tiles which are matt along with an Emaux de Briare tile in Amethyst mauve to add another shade and a little shimmer.
